Topic: "Healing Beyond the Diagnosis: Reclaiming Your Power & Moving From Darkness to Light"
Description: In the summer of 2019, I hit rock bottom...hard. After a lifetime of fighting through the pain, mastering the art of smiling on the outside no matter how dark I felt on the inside, I didn't believe I had the strength to continue living in that way (a life that included narcissistic abuse from both family members & my now ex-husband) and chose to attempt to end my life through my addiction to alcohol - ultimately deciding to drink myself to death instead of continuing this life filled with confliction between what I expressed outside and what I felt inside. Fortunately, the universe had other plans for me and my attempts at annihilation were thwarted...

SPEAKER BIOS
Speaker: Kate Wysocki, Yoga Teacher & Wellness Mentor
Kate is a Yoga Teacher & Wellness Mentor living in Santa Barbara, California. She is a Midwestern girl, born & raised in Michigan, attending University of Michigan from 2007-2011 (where she majored in Economics) and then moving to Chicago to work in advertising for Ogilvy & Mather from 2011-2020. Kate is fully aware she did not choose a life dedicated to living in service and supporting those through wellness & recovery, but rather that she got a second chance at life and this life chose her. Kate has spent the past 4.5 years embarking on a journey of self discovery - a journey that took her around the globe, where she explored the corners of the Earth to find insights that would help her reclaim her soul. From the Sacred Valley of Peru, to the beaches of Indonesia, the mountains of Japan to the remote islands of Portugal, Kate has collected a personal toolbox that she can't wait to share with her students & community to allow them to embark on a similar journey of healing through self-discovery & personal empowerment.
