District216 partnership with Decriminalize Nature aims to give Santa Barbara access to plant medicine

District216 is partnered with Decriminalize Nature with the aim of making Santa Barbara the 17th American city that D.N. has assisted to decriminalize the use of entheogenic plant and fungi.

We begin our decriminalization campaign at our upcoming Marquee Event this Saturday, March 25, 2023 where we will be collecting signatures as well as stories from the community on how entheogenic plants have changed their lives for the better.

We are proud that the UCSB Psychedelic Club is working with us to generate community support at our event, and beyond. They are an incredible group of student activists who share our values and vision of a world where all citizens have access to plant medicines.

With the support of our members, guests, and the community at large, we will follow Decriminalize Nature’s organizer playbook and bring this initiative to Santa Barbara’s city council.

As stated by our friends at Decriminalize Nature:

“We stand at a historical crossroad, a key transition point in our relationship with nature and each other. Our entheogenic allies enable us to heal, understand, and mature our relationships with ourselves, each other, and the planet that birthed us and to which we belong.

Join us in spreading awareness of these entheogenic plants and fungi. Join the movement to decriminalize our relationship with nature so we may shift the balance to rebuild a more cooperative, just, and caring world.”

Decriminalize Nature is a movement to decriminalize all entheogenic plants and fungi on Federal Schedule I , which can be beneficial for healing, and for personal and spiritual growth.
