Psychedelics & Courage: Taking a Leap of Faith with Kat Walsh
The District House buzzed with inspiration as we welcomed Kat Walsh, host of the renowned Trip On This Podcast, to share her deeply personal journey of transformation. The District216 community is quite familiar with Kat as she has MCed several Marquee Events as well as moderated various panels including “Sex & Psychedelics,” “Veterans, PTSD & Psychedelics,” “Music & Psychedelics,” and most recently “Art & Psychedelics.” She has also performed DJ sets at our Marquee Events.
This event, aptly titled “Psychedelics & Courage: Taking a Leap of Faith,” offered an intimate look into Kat’s life and the profound ways psychedelics helped her face fears, awaken her intuition, and build a life aligned with her heart and spirit.
Kat captivated the audience as she recounted her decision to leave behind the corporate ladder, a path she described as “chasing titles and status,” to embrace a life of purpose, creativity, and service. Her story reflected a profound truth: the courage to live authentically often comes from the willingness to take a leap of faith, even when the way forward feels uncertain.
Through her experiences, Kat reminded us that psychedelics are more than a tool for self-discovery—they’re a bridge to living in alignment with love. “The answer is always love,” she shared, speaking to the deep inner transformation that allowed her to show up fully and authentically in her life.
The evening’s highlight came during the post-talk interview with Hannah Jo, who skillfully guided Kat through deeper reflections on her journey. Together, they explored how psychedelics not only helped Kat heal but also inspired her to create a platform that celebrates the full spectrum of human existence. Through her podcast Trip On This and her work as a storyteller, event MC, and guide, Kat uplifts others to discover their own power and potential.
The night was a testament to the power of vulnerability, connection, and community—a safe space where guests could feel inspired to reflect on their own journeys of courage and self-discovery.
